How to Use Tithi.live: City, Date, Language, and Guides
A product walkthrough so first-time readers can get a correct city panchang in under a minute — and know where the textbooks live.
Set place before you trust a time
Choose the city where the event will take place, then confirm the selected date before reading the cards. A city selected for a previous visit may not be the place you need today. When a fallback notice names another source city, the displayed values are reference data from that place; they are not exact local timings.
Date is India’s calendar day
Today follows the India calendar date (Asia/Kolkata). When planning for another day, select that date explicitly. Share the dated page link and include the city and date in your message so another reader can check that the same selection opened.
Language and numeric values
The language control changes labels and available translations. It does not change the selected city or turn a general horoscope into a personal reading. Some educational articles remain in English. If a translated term is unclear, compare the English label and report both versions.
Where the teaching lives
Open Learn / Guides to understand a field. Start with What is tithi? and How to read a panchang. Use the festival calendar for the selected month, and open the named observance for more context. Contact in the footer explains how to submit a correction.
If cards are empty
Wait for the request to finish and check for a loading, unavailable-data or error message. Reload once if the connection failed. Do not use another day’s or another city’s values as replacements for an exact local time. General articles can explain a field but cannot supply a missing calculation.
If the problem persists, send the page URL, city, selected date, field name and visible message through Contact. Include the time of your visit if today’s page appeared stale. Do not include passwords or account tokens. For a disagreement with another calendar, attach its public reference and explain which event you compared.
Frequently asked questions
Which city should I pick if I work in Gurugram and the puja is in Delhi?
Use the city where the rite or departure actually happens. A Delhi puja needs Delhi sunrise. Your office park’s clock is a different question.
