Tithi.live Editorial Standards: How We Publish Panchang
How to distinguish daily records, reference examples and traditional interpretation, and report a correction.
Publisher and scope
Tithi.live publishes calendar tools and educational explanations. Articles are attributed to Tithi.live as publisher. No named specialist review or religious accreditation is claimed on this page. The guides explain how to read the fields; they do not replace the authority of a temple or a household’s observance tradition.
Where daily records come from
The calendar service refreshes the stored daily records for Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Ujjain at midnight IST. Other supported cities inherit the same-date record from the geographically nearest of these four core cities, identified in the source notice. Inherited sunrise and muhurta values are approximate for the requested location. A missing core record is reported rather than replaced with a different date.
This describes the software’s data paths, not a claim that every stored record has been independently verified. The original provenance of all legacy records and the calculation conventions for every field are not documented here. Do not assume a particular ayanamsha, horizon model or festival school without checking the underlying source.
How to read references and examples
Source links on a guide identify the material relevant to its explanation. An astronomy source supports astronomical definitions, not religious prescriptions. A link to another calendar is a comparison reference, not an endorsement or a claim that its data powers this service.
Worked examples use invented times and are labelled accordingly. Never copy them as today’s schedule. Traditional interpretations are separate from calculated events; neither a horoscope nor a muhurta label guarantees an outcome.
Corrections and updates
Send the page URL, city, date, exact field or sentence, and a supporting reference to [email protected]. This allows a report to be reproduced. If two sources disagree, include both locations and time zones before asking for a correction.
Article update dates refer to edits to the article, not the last website build. Daily records may change separately as new data is available. Reading-time estimates are calculated from the text; they are a convenience, not a measure of authority. Advertising does not establish the accuracy of an article or calculation.
